INTRODUCTION
In 2012, China Daily Hong Kong launched the Campus News Awards(CNA) as an annual event to promote student-run campus news and media outlets. It aims to improve the news writing and media-production skills of students, and provide a platform to communicate and exchange ideas with peers from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

China Daily has held the Campus News Awards for twelve consecutive years. It has a judging panel with more than 100 government officials, journalism professors and media professionals. A total of more than 3,300 journalism-major students have won the awards.
